Introduction of SPRING LADIES

Spring Ladies Beijing, composed of 20 musically well-trained young girls, is an impressive women's chamber choir of China. The choir won the highest price in the Fourth Beijing International Chorus Festival in July 1998.

Most of the ladies used to be members of a well-known children's choir of the country and visited the United States, Japan, Austria, Singapore and China's Hong Kong and Taiwan. They did a great job to let the world hear high-level children's chorus from China.

Time slips away, but these young girls are still crazy about the beauty of chorus, and became Spring Ladies in September 1995. Since then they have presented numerous chorus concerts in Beijing, which were warmly welcomed. Spring Ladies can sing a wide range of songs, from Chinese classics, folk and artistic songs to foreign ballads, opera selections and classical immortals. And they can sing in different languages. More noteworthy is their original singing and dancing of modern songs. Representative songs of Spring Ladies include Follow Him, Hail! Holy Queen, Magnificat (Bach), Hava Nagela (Come, join the celebration), Waiting for you until Daybreak and Jasmine.

The choir's first album -Spring Ladies-was published in December 1999, collecting 17 beautiful chorus pieces of both Chinese and foreign.
